God’s Amazing Gift to You

 

 

God’s Purpose:

     God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life—abundant and eternal.  “For God so loved the world..." (John 3:16)

Our Problem:

     We have chosen to disobey God and go our own willful way.  This is called sin and sin separates us from God. “For all have sinned...” (Romans 3:23)

Our Plan:

     Through the ages individuals have tried to reach God through their own efforts—without success. “There is a way that seems right...” (Proverbs 14:12)

God’s Plan and Provision:

     Jesus Christ is the only answer to the sin problem. Christ died on the Cross, was buried and on the third day arose from the dead.  He alone bridged the gap between God and man. “For Christ also suffered once..." (1 Peter 3:18a)

How to Receive Christ:

     Admit your need (I am a sinner).

     Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).

     Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.

     Pray and invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life as your Lord and Savior.   

Prayer of Commitment:

Lord Jesus, I believe You are the Son of God and died to pay the penalty for my sins.  I ask Your forgiveness. I turn from my sins and receive You as my Savior and my Lord. I give You all of my life and will live for You.  Thank you for saving me.  Amen.
