Lebanon Mission Statement

Lebanon Vision Statement

We glorify and honor God with our lives.

We proclaim the Good News of salvation, making disciples of Jesus Christ.

We impact our community through the life changing power of the Holy Spirit.

Our highest calling is to glorify God by obedience to His Word, meaningful and sincere worship, and service to others.

We proclaim the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ by clearly preaching, teaching, and sharing the Word of God with our community through a wide range of ministry activities.

We make disciples by enabling others to receive God’s free gift of salvation through personal repentance and acceptance by faith of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

We impact our community in the power of the Holy Spirit by standing for God’s love, justice, truth, and mercy to the honor of Christ.

Adopted by the Project 6:15 Team, 2004.

 Worship

We at Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church envision a church full of people worshipping God by glorifying Him, honoring Him, and enjoying Him. We see the presence of the Holy Sprit lived out in our lives as we relate to one another and to those outside this fellowship. We see contagious enthusiasm for the things of God expressed in praise, thanksgiving, and obedience as we learn to love God with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength. We see this creating an expectation of great things being done in our lives, the lives of our families and friends, and in our community. We see a church living this way throughout the week.

 Transformation

We envision a people so transformed by the Holy Spirit that their lives effectively demonstrate the love of God to one another as each desires to be loved. We see people stepping outside of themselves to effect change in one another by the ways that they touch each other’s lives. We see friendships and relationships blossoming that would not be possible without the power of the Holy Spirit. We see a people excited to minister to others through the use of their God given spiritual gifts and talents.

 Discipleship

We see a people whose desire to be changed is demonstrated by their growth in the knowledge of God through careful and diligent study of His Holy Word, the Bible. We envision people in prayer, seeking guidance from the Holy Spirit in our study and application of what we learn, and encouraging each other’s growth in the knowledge and application of His Word to our lives. We envision a people gathering in homes to study, pray, encourage, and support one another. We envision a people equipped with the tools of the Christian faith, ready to seek opportunities to share this same faith with others, open to those who come in as visitors and examples of hope to those with whom we come in contact during the week. We envision these equipped people ready to seek opportunities to share their faith, being open to visitors and examples of God’s love to the community.
